This website has been developed by suppliers for suppliers. Mike Dougherty from D&S Manufacturing and Trish Broskowski from Milsco Manufacturing are the two supplier representatives on the WMDC board. We are responsible for being the voice of hundreds of suppliers across Wisconsin to the 7 OEM’s that make up the WMDC. What better way to hear that voice than to ask? So…that’s what we’re doing. We wanted a vehicle that would allow all nominated suppliers to talk about what’s happening in their world.
The purpose of the website is straight talk: Where WMDC nominated suppliers meet to share information on their continuous improvement activities. As suppliers to members of the WMDC we need to implement changes to our business processes that will cut costs, reduce lead times and improve quality. There are a variety of tools available to achieve these results and there is no one “right” solution for every business. “Straight talk” is intended to be a way for suppliers to share both our accomplishments and information about the barriers we encounter as we work to improve our businesses and meet our customer’s expectations. The ultimate goal is to strengthen our organizations through collaboration and cooperation.
